Situated in the unique village of McGregor, Fountain Place is housed in one of the oldest buildings there. Built in 1862 and classed as a National Monument, this traditionally white-washed and thatched building exudes a sense of warmth, friendship and history, along with its reed ceilings and painted bedroom floors. Tastefully decorated and furnished with many antique pieces and interesting object d'art, whilst still remaining welcoming and comfortable.

Two guest suites comprising bedroom (queen-size or single beds) with fireplace, private lounge & Victorian-style shower room. Each bedroom looks onto the garden and each lounge has its own entrance onto the vine-covered stoep. Tea and coffee-making facilities & fridge in each private lounge.
Lovely Almond Cottage and Plum Cottage (self catering) are being upgraded. Once they are complete (expected 1/8/10) they will be available for R650 (2 adults); R800 (2 adults, 2 children); R940 (4 adults); R1200 (6 adults).
Facilities
Off-road parking. DSTV in the main lounge (with a large fireplace for those chilly days).
Braai area (braai pack on request) Internet & e-mail.
English or Continental breakfast served under the vines on the stoep, or in the guest dining area (depending on the weather and guest preference).
