Rietvlei
Rietvlei was the original dwelling of the pioneer family and is set on its own and has a private room with a double brass bed and four single beds in the loft. There is a comfortable lounge with a fireplace and a bathroom with a bath-shower combination. Oil lamps in the main bedroom give a certain charm.

Winterfield
Winterfield sleeps 6. The main bedroom has a double bed and its own fireplace. bedroom number two has two single beds and the other room also has 2 single beds. it has as small entrance hall and a bathroom with a bath-shower combination. Winterfield is located close to the dining room, games room and homestead. This is great for kids as the games room is near and for parents as they can dine in peace with a baby monitor.

Longlands
Next to an old oak tree lies an Cape Georgian style building split up into 3 separate units. It is situated on the slope and is a short distance from the main homestead.

Longlands 1
This unit has a small lounge with a fireplace and a double bed. In a separate alcove there is a bunk bed for the kids. The bathroom has a shower-bath combination.

Longlands 2
Also popular as our own little honeymoon suite, this unit contains a double bed and a window seat that is also a single bed for a small child.

The bathroom has a shower (that easily fits two!) and a small Queen Ann stove will keep you warm in the winter.

Longlands 3
With two three-quarter beds and a bunk bed in a separate alcove, Longlands 3 easily sleeps four. It has a small lounge with a fireplace and a shower-bath combination in the bathroom.

The Barn
Originally this unit served as a barn and is now converted into a comfortable cottage that is one of our most popular units. The barn sleeps 5 with its double bed, single bed and bunk bed it has a fireplace in the main living area and an en suite bathroom.

The view is magnificent from the bedroom window and stoep.Everyone of our cottages has an atmosphere and charm of it\'s own. The cottages have coffee and tea making facilities and towels are supplied.

Adult Rates

R380 per person, single night stay.
R360 per person, two nights or longer.

Under 2 years old – no charge
2 – 5 years old - R110
5 – 11 years old – R160
11 – 16 years old – R250

Transfers to and from the trail end are available.

All our rates include a hearty 3 course dinner, bed and full English breakfast.

We have two small fridges in our communal lounge where guests can store refreshments and/or beverages. Vegetarians catered for. Meals are one of the highlights here at Whipstock so make sure you come hungry!

Lunch packs for hikers are available for R28, and consist of a delicious cold meat and cheese sandwich, boiled egg, piece of fruit, and a small fruit juice.
