For all McGregor guests who want to explore the surrounding area of McGregor join Derek on a tour exploring Village life, the Dams, and peaceful tranquillity of nature, and for the more adventurous. Derek will guide you on a walk to the waterfalls. Derek has been involved in the Sports business all his life as a player and a coach. Has played cricket and badminton locally and in England, Bulgaria and Mauritius. Coached at various institutions and schools. Sport teaches you about life; through rivalries and friendships. Unity in sports applies in life.

VILlAGE WALK
Enjoy a leisurely stroll through McGregor quaint village while observing the local shops, historic cottages, few restaurants and a beautiful church.
Friendly locals will smile and greet you. This is a village full of kind and happy people. Thereafter a gentle walk through the local residential area observing the interesting properties.Expect to see cows, horses, guinea fowls and the local dog walkers

DAM AND KRANS WALK
The special McGregor Dam, where you feel instantly at peace with its shimmering water and beautiful surroundings. This is a leisurely walk where you can have a swim and relax for a while, before you continue along the Krans Nature Reserve Trail and observe the beautiful scenery. The
energetic have the option of doing a few circuits around the dam. A peaceful and enjoyable walk

WATERFALL WALK
The walk starts with a sharp descent into the valley which flattens out until you get to the waterfall.This is a great place to swim, picnic and relax, before heading back. The trail winds through the only gap in the rugged Riversonderend Mountain Range with magnificent scenery. The hike is fairly
strenuous with a reasonable level of fitness required. Save a bit of energy for the last stretch of the hike as it is all uphill.
