What better fruit to cultivate on land so unspoilt and humble, than the olive? At our estate, we produce our own 100% pure “Pate di Olivia” (Olive Pate- a gentler ‘bombolla’ compared to Greek Tapenade, without the capers and too many spices) and the most delicate “Oliva secca” (dried olives) this side of the Mediterranean.We create our gems into little dreams of GOLD bottled in brine, or as they say in Italeano, “Sogni d’oro, imbotiliata in aqua salata” flavoured with home grown rosemary and garlic. An Afro-Italian love song to the tastebuds! We are sure that the “creative spirit” will enjoy our products and that you will be inspired to new ways of using olives in your daily living.

Olive Culture Experience in McGregor, Western Cape, South Africa. Rhebokskraal Olive Estate invites you to stroll through our olive grove to see where olives originate and to learn about the history of cultivars and their uses. Pay a short visit to our factory where you can learn various methods of curing, what to do with the ordinary olive and the medicinal value of olive oil and olive leaf extract. Join us for a meal under the oak tree/ fireplace where you will be treated to specialities born in our kitchen while listening to songs about olive groves and farm life. Try our home made bread with olive pate or jam and some olive quiche , olive soup (oh yes), Pork Fillets in Olive Chutney, veggie creations, Tzatziki Sauce and all our various olives. Round that off with our home made organic juices like Merlot, Cabernet,Pinotage and Hanepoot.

Farm visits on appointment only Monday to Saturday. If you are too far away, don’t worry, make your selection here and enjoy but remember that orders of 24 or more will work out more economically as the courier fee out of the Cape region will be more.
