A WEEKEND IN SACRED ATTUNEMENT
We warmly invite you to celebrate and co-create with us the 3rd Annual Sacred Music and Dance Festival in the quaint village of McGregor. Join us for a joyful gathering in friendship and community.
Music – People – Nature and the Divine Love in all
The focus of the festival is on honouring the sacred through conscious breath, sound, movement, prayer, meditation and heart-opening practices, which bring us into a shared experience of love, unity, peace and joy.
Participants can choose from attending sacred singing circles to Dances of Universal Peace; Monochord Meditation to Sacred Drum Singing; Yoga and Qi Gong to performances of Indigenous African music, Acapella Choir singing Taize, or the McGregor First Step Ballet company performing dances from Contemporary to African.
For more detailed offerings see below.
This event is limited in size, which allows for connection and an intimate atmosphere, while recognising the need for individual space and silent contemplation.
A FEAST FOR THE BODY, HEART and SOUL
This festival is a celebration of all spiritual paths.
The time we find ourselves in at present reveals that there is a greater need than ever before to find common
ground, to unite and bring peace to the world. By coming together we can learn about, open to, and sing and dance the unity of creation, while respecting and honouring each unique spiritual path toward the One.
This is a journey of creativity and joy through sharing heart songs, sacred chants and peace dances from various traditions accompanied by live music. They will be led by local as well as international facilitators.
You are welcome to participate as much or as little as you wish.
BREATHE – SING – CHANT – DANCE – PRAY – MEDITATE – LAUGH – RELAX – HEAL
Our very special venues for this event are Temenos Retreat Centre and the Wisdom
School in the village of McGregor, Western Cape, South Africa.
There are also unique spaces for being alone in meditation. There is a meditation room adjacent to the Wisdom Hall which is open to everyone. And the “Garden of the Beloved” at Temenos is renowned for its beauty, its shrines, and hidden treasures.
McGregor is approximately 2 and 1/4 hours drive from Cape Town.
The festival is a not-for-profit event. Ticket prices have
been kept to a minimum to allow people with all size pockets to attend.
TICKETS:
Please note that ticket prices include all events and one shared vegetarian/vegan lunch on Sunday,
but exclude accommodation.
Space is limited so it is advisable to book early.
If you are able to sponsor an extra ticket for someone without the financial
means to attend but who would love to be there, our deep gratitude to you!
