A tale of a petite country cottage in the tiny village of McGregor.

This delightful and stylish, self-catering cottage at Wild Almond is situated in the centre of the quaint village of McGregor, only 2 hours from Cape Town.

As you walk through the front door of “THE COTTAGE”, feel the peace and tranquility immediately take over. The pitched roof – with its traditionally exposed rough-hewn poplar beams covered with dune grass thatch – immediately transports you into a gentler time. Cool in summer and warm in winter……..In winter there is a cosy cast iron log fire which is ideal for appreciating with a glass of McGregor’s best in hand….red of course. We are primarily powered by our own solar system which is rather nice when Eskom decides to turn off the lights

The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas hob, large air fryer, microwave oven and all the equipment you could need to create a delicious country feast. The Oak and Stinkwood table is a family heirloom and dates back to the mid-1800s and seats 6 comfortably. Large and spacious Bosch Fridge /Freezer

Bedroom 1 ( Queen size with electric blanket in winter) with a private en-suite bathroom

Bedroom 2 ( Queen size bed with electric blanket in winter) and a separate bathroom with a cooling shower.

The spacious, shady stoep at “THE COTTAGE” is great for relaxing on after a hard day of wine tasting at our fabulous wine estates. Loungers, Weylands wicker chairs and our trusty Weylands outdoor table, along with a portable drinks trolley and a Weber braai, make for a gorgeous descent into a beautiful sunset-kissed evening.

RATES FOR “THE COTTAGE”

The rate is calculated on a per person, per night sharing basis with a minimum nightly rate of R900

R450 Per person per night sharing for “THE COTTAGE”

Example….2 guests sharing is R900 per night and R1800 for 2 nights

Example…..4 guests sharing is R1800 per night and R3600 for 2 nights

The minimum stay is 2 nights at “THE COTTAGE”

Children up to 12 years are half price and thereafter full rate
