Join Lady Magnolia, founder and Headmistress of Cape Town’s The Rouge Revue, for a playful morning exploring movement, confidence, creativity and the delicious art of tease.
No dance experience, particular body type or ability to “be sexy” required. Burlesque is about self-expression, character, humour, sensuality and owning the stage in your own way.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
1-hour Intro to Burlesque
Learn the foundations of posture, posing, parading, bumps, grinds, shimmies and, of course, the art of the tease. Completely beginner-friendly.
1-hour Pastie Crafting Workshop
Create your own fabulous pair of burlesque pasties to take home. All materials are provided.
Then we play!
Bring some bubbly and snacks to share and enjoy time for photographs, dressing up and admiring your handiwork.
Anything comfortable that makes you feel good. Leggings, skirts, shorts or something deliciously glamorous you’ve been waiting for an excuse to wear.
Heels are optional. You’re also welcome to bring a robe, boa, gloves or anything theatrical to play with.
Most importantly, bring your curiosity and sense of humour.
